The academic integration of the Faculty of Theology of Lugano into USI is a reality

The State Council has recently accepted the affiliation of the Faculty of Theology of Lugano to USI. With the ratification by the Ticino Government of the decision of their respective Councils, the Faculty of Theology of Lugano (FTL) will be academically integrated into Università della Svizzera italiana (USI).

The proximity of FTL to USI - strengthened over the years thanks to the sharing of training programmes, research and academic procedures - has led to the decision to move closer together also on the institutional level, in order to foster further synergies in the future. The President of the Ticino State Council, Manuele Bertoli, announced the affiliation on the occasion of USI's 25th Dies academicus. In the coming months, a message will be submitted to the Grand Council to ensure financial support from the Canton.
